SO WHO ARE YOU?

We are a male / female duo with live Guitar and percussion, called BEATS IN A BAR

We specialise in great harmonies, honed after 12 years of gigging. We play all those great songs that nobody else currently on the circuit seems to be doing. In fact, The most common end-of-gig comment we get is "Brilliant I haven't heard that song for ages!"

WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?

WHERE DO YOU PLAY?

We play pubs, clubs and private parties, and it's simple to hire us!  We are based in Maryport, West Cumbria. We come fairly reasonable for a duo. Just tell us where the gig is and we can give you a price straight away, by phone or by email or messenger. We sometimes charge a little bit more for Bank Holidays, Christmas week, our rates will be different on Christmas Eve / Boxing Day.

HOW LONG DO YOU PLAY FOR?

We usually play 2 x one hour sets, with a 30 minute break in between but we are flexible. We bring all our own equipment, and are happy to play background music in between our sets.

DO YOU PLAY ANYTHING UP-TO-DATE?

No, nothing past 1990! We've made a real dedicated study of great songs from the start of the sixties to the end of the eighties, replicating the original harmonies and arrangements. Many of the songs we perform you don't hear played live anywhere very often and yet everybody knows them! We use

our own self made backing tracks, not downloaded from a website.
